Tennesse Trip

A few weeks ago, we went to Tennesse to visit family and had a reunion cookout at the Natural Tunnel State Park in Virginia. Here are a few pics...

Jacob is One!

What a big boy! It is hard to believe he is one already. This has been a fun year, definitely full of new experiences for all of us. On his birthday, we took cupcakes to daycare for his birthday party. Then we ordered pizza and had a few family and friends over to celebrate. Jacob seemed to really enjoy himself and loves all his new toys!

On Sunday, we had a few family and friends over for low country boil at Nana and Peepaw Carter's house. Jacob had a really fun time eating cake and opening presents. We love him so much and it has been one exciting year. We are looking forward to making more memories with our little rascal!

Happy 4th of July!

What a fun weekend! Mom and Dad went to the river on Friday and then went over to our neighbor's house for a Fourth of July cookout! We also watched fireworks that night, but Jacob was not really that interested in them. He would watch a few and clap, but then he was off trying to get into something!

Jacob Can Walk!

This little rascal is all over the place. He has taken more of an interest in walking over the past few weeks, mainly so he can carry his toys around!

Pizza!

We had a great weekend, even though it was extremely hot! We went to Pizza Joint on Friday with my mom and Aunt Tiff. Jacob loves pizza! He actually will eat pretty much anything. He is doing great with walking. He will stand up and take about 10-15 steps before he sits down. What a rascal!

Summertime!

These are a few pictures of Jacob playing in the backyard. He really loves the water. He is starting to walk more and more everyday. He can get in a standing position now without holding on to anything and will take a few steps. I can't believe he will be one in a little over a week! We had to go to the doctor last week and he is 18.2 pounds. What a little nugget! He is also cutting his top molars so he will have ten teeth! It is so much fun to watch him grow.

We took Jacob to the River Bluff pool for the first time this weekend. He absolutely loved the baby pool. It was a little too deep for him, but he wanted to try to play by himself anyways! He is taking swimming lessons at daycare next week, so I know he will really enjoy that. He might be swimming before he is walking! :)

Jacob's First Hair Cut!

This weekend Miss Sarah came over and cut Jacob's hair. It was getting really long in the back. Now some just needs to grow in on the sides!

Memorial Day

We had a nice four day weekend for Memorial Day and took a trip to the beach. The weather was beautiful and we really enjoyed the beach.

On Memorial Day, we had a cookout at our house. Here are a few pictures of Jacob playing with his Grandma Bolon's new puppy Sonny!

We had a wonderful mother's day this past Sunday. Jacob and I went to South Aiken Baptist Church with Nanna Carter and Aunt Tiff. Here are a few pics from church.

Jacob's Ear Surgery

Jacob had tubes put in his ears this past Thursday by Dr. Vickery at University Hospital in Augusta. It only took about twenty minutes and he did wonderful! Hopefully we will be seeing a lot less ear infections.

We also have been having fun with one of Jacob's new favorite things...a homemade tent! He is so funny; he will crawl under the blanket and wait for you to peek under and find him. Then he just laughs and laughs!

SPLISH SPLASH!

I have not had a chance to update my blog in the past few months, mainly due to my busy work schedule with tax season. Now that tax season is over, I hope to keep up with it a little better. Mr. Jacob sure is getting so grown up so fast! He is in to everything, not walking yet, but crawling everywhere. We had our first dip in the pool this weekend, since it was so beautiful outside.

Another Ear Infection

I took Jacob back to the doctor on Friday and both ears were infected. Poor baby...He is also cutting his two front teeth, so he has been drooling a lot and has been in a lot of pain. He did gain some weight, weighing 15 lbs 9 oz at this visit. He slept great last night and was in a wonderful mood this morning, so I think he is feeling much better. Hopefully he will outgrow these ear infections soon!

SNOW!

We could not believe that it actually snowed here yesterday! Our whole house and yard were covered! (It was only about half an inch, but still exciting!)

I put Jacob in front of the back door before we left in the morning, trying to get a picture of him with snow in the background. You can barely see it through the door.

I could not get a good picture of Chip out in the snow. He was so excited, he wouldn't look up at the camera!

Jacob Can Crawl!

I can't believe how much Jacob is really moving around. He is trying to get into everything! Here is a little clip of him crawling this weekend. I had to quit filming so I could get Jacob away from the PlayStation cords!

We could not believe it when Jacob crawled over to the coffee table and pulled up onto his knees, grabbed a fitness magazine and crawled back down!

Too Much Jumping

Jacob loves his Jumperoo. He loves it so much, he will even jump himself to sleep! We could not stop laughing when we saw him do this. He even stayed asleep long enough for me to get some pictures.

Chip got a new hair cut and a new rain coat! What a cute pooch!

Jacob Can Sit Up By Himself!

Just over the past week or two, Jacob has developed so fast. He can sit on his own and balance fairly well while he plays. He is always wanting to be on the move so he doesn't sit still for long and he is on the floor trying to crawl!

Happy Birthday Jacob!

Happy New Year Everyone! This week is going by fast as everyone is getting back into our weekly routine with work and daycare. Jacob is six months old today! Happy Birthday Jacob! He is getting more and more mobile every day.

What a big boy! We gave him some juice in his sippy cup last night and he actually held his cup and drank it! We have tried this once before and he was not interested in drinking out of the cup, but thought it was a toy and wanted to bang it on the table!

Hey Mom and Dad! Look at me drink out of my cup! He just looks too little to be doing such big boy stuff!
