Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!  Last year, Jacob was a little scared of Halloween, but not this year!  He had a blast!  We started the day off with a party with Mrs. Trumble's 3K class.  Mommy came and helped get the kids in their costumes, then we had snack and did some trick or treating!  Later that afternoon, we went trick or treating with Mrs. Lynne's class at Anchor Hills nursing home.  The kids and adults had a great time.  They even had a blow up haunted house!  That night when we got home, we went trick or treating with all of our friends in the neighborhood.  We rode on the golf cart with Kash McKnight and went to a few houses.  Then we met up with Wyatt and the Phillips' and went for a ride around the neighborhood on Mr. Ken's trailer.  As we were heading back to the house, we saw Anslee and Aubree Heath!  Then Jacob went for a hay ride around the neighborhood with them!  We got home and sorted out our candy.  What a fun Day!

Trunk or Treat!

The weekend was filled with a lot of Halloween fun.  On Saturday, Nana Carter and I took Jacob and his friend Wyatt to the City of Aiken's Trunk or Treat downtown.  It was very crowded, so we did not stay very long.  On Sunday, we went with the Fulmer's to St. John's Trunk or Treat.  Jacob and Wyatt had a great time and got lots of candy.  Wyatt even won the best boy costume!

We found a short cut to the long line, so the boys rushed down the Alley, headed for the candy!!

A Day at the Park

On Fridays after school, Jacob and I like to go do something fun.  This past Friday, we ate lunch at the park and Pappaw Carter joined us!  Then Jacob saw his friends Kate and Maggie from school.  He had a really fun time.

Western Carolina Fair

On Thursday, Jacob and Wyatt went to the county fair.  They had so much fun riding rides, watching derby cars and going to the petting zoo.  Wyatt even rode a bull!  Jacob was about an inch too short to ride all of the rides by himself, but they let him on some of them anyways, which made him a very happy boy!

Jacob and Wyatt loved the fun house.  They went on it about five times :)

Pumpkin Carving!

This past weekend, we carved pumpkins and watched football with Grandma and Uncle Justin.  Jacob liked cleaning out the pumpkins, but didn't want to stick his hands in the yucky seeds :)  He loved watching us light them all up!

Jacob's First Day of School

When we returned home from the beach, Jacob started 3K at South Aiken Presbyterian Kindergaten.  This was a sad day for Mom and Dad because our little baby is growing up so fast.  Jacob was really excited to join his friends at school.  Four friends from daycare are in his class.  His teacher is Mrs. Trumble.  He seems to really enjoy going to class on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.

BEACH TRIP!!

For the past three years during Labor Day week, we go to Myrtle Beach with the Bolon Family.  We look forward to this every year and we had an awesome time!  The weather was nice and we loved our beach house.  We usually stay in Surfside, but this year we rented a house in Garden City.  It was super nice!  The house had a small pool off of the big pool that was perfect for Jacob.  He also enjoyed playing at the beach and playing at the arcade at the pier!  He loved it when his cousins Tyler and Paige came to play.  They had a really great time.
Daddy and Jacob out in the ocean.  Jacob loved swimming out in the waves with his Dad!

The aquarium tunnel at Ripley's.  This was a really cool part of the aquarium.  The sharks and fish swam all around us.

Jacob's little pool at the beach house.  A perfect size for him to swim around in!

With all of the swimming and playing, nap time was a must.  It didn't take him long to fall asleep each day :)  He loved his little dvd player to watch movies as he fell asleep.

A perfect end to an awesome week.  Joey and I went out to eat the last night at the beach and this was the view from our table.

Zoo Trip with Aunt Tiff!

We were so happy to have Aunt Tiff home with us in September while she worked at Dr. Collin's office for one of her clinicals.  While she was home, we had a lot of fun!  We went to the zoo one afternoon and had a blast!

Jacob loved looking at all of the animals.  He even got to feed the giraffes!  I think his favorite was probably the cow at the farm.  He really likes cows :)

Jacob also loved the aquarium.  He loved watching the diver feed the fish and clean out the tank.

Charleston Trip

This past weekend, we went to visit our friends Teran, Patrick and Walker Mise at the beach.  We had such a great time!  We spent most of the afternoon on Saturday at the beach.  It was hot, but it was a beautiful day.  Jacob loved playing in the ocean.  We went downtown Saturday night and had dinner on Market Street.  It was a very fun weekend and we were glad to spend it with our friends!
